Think Outside The Box-- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Jan. 21st - Sun., Jan. 27th, 2013

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Standard Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Personally, last week was all about up and down feelings and energy patterns. Finding my inner balance was not easy… but I think by the end of the week I found it. Was that the Pluto/Venus connection or Saturn making an aspect to Venus? Maybe a little bit of both?

One thing that came up for me last week: I found myself worrying about something in the future and I was able to catch myself doing it -- I said to myself: "Whatever happens, it will either be a learning experience for me or I will be able to receive some wonderful things". It ended up being the best day of my week ;-)

This week's headline items: a 15-hour Moon VoC, starting Wednesday morning; an 18-hour Moon VoC, starting Friday afternoon; a Full Moon that will be exact Saturday night; and Jupiter starts to slow down on Sunday.

On Monday morning, you may want to take it easy, as it starts with a Moon void of course (VoC); this ends at 9:04am EST. At that time, the Moon moves into curious, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. This will speed things up a little; the Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. This could be via online and phone conversations, or directly with people in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible; as long as we don't get bored, we're good.

Throughout Monday evening, Mercury (Gemini's Ruler) is in an energetic opposition with Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Chiron. This may require some diplomacy when communicating with others or a need for balance between our mind and conditioning, versus other parts of ourselves.

On Tuesday, the Moon remains in lively, curious Gemini  all day (see Monday for details).

Mercury -- the ruler of Gemini and Virgo -- plays a big role again today. At 5:28am EST Mercury makes an opportune aspect to Uranus. We started to feel this aspect from last week Sunday on; it will be strong until this Wednesday. This aspect gives us an opportunity to see things from a different perspective, this might bring a new spin to our "old" thinking structure. We like to connect in unusual ways and any group activities or brainstorming with like-minded people can bring some amazing insights at this time -- this might be a busy day. Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us; we have to realize it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 2-8 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Sagittarius or Gemini? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity.

Tuesday at 8:28am EST, Mercury makes an energetic connection to Pluto. This brings intensity and emotional undertones -- and the possibility of obsessive thinking -- to the beginning of our day. We may also feel really focused on something we feel passionate about.

By 12:15pm EST, Mercury makes an energetic opposition to Pluto. Our interactions with others become more intense and we need to watch out for power-plays. As best as you can, choose to empower yourself and those around you.

Also on Tuesday, exact at 9:26pm EST, Mercury makes a harmonious aspect to Jupiter. We started to feel this aspect from last week Sunday on; it will be strong until this Thursday. This aspect makes us feel especially optimistic and we see the bigger picture.

We tend to communicate in a positive, even inspiring, manner. We are open-minded, tolerant of other perspectives and ideas, and naturally avoid narrow-mindedness. We might feel an urge to learn about foreign languages and foreign cultures -- and it might occur to us that going to the foreign country is the best way to do this :-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-9 degrees of Gemini, Aquarius or Libra? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect.

As Tuesday evening continues, between 10pm and 11:35pm EST, Mercury makes some more energetic connections to Saturn, Jupiter and Mars. Whatever comes up today, we need to watch our mind's responses. Choose consciously to be responsible, to learn and grow, and to move forward with your own evolution.

On Wednesday the Moon remains in lively, curious Gemini  until 10pm EST (see Monday for details).

Wednesday also starts with a 15-hour Moon void of course (VoC),  from 6:42am - 10pm EST. Use this intuitive time to connect to others in an unusual way. Look to see how you might move forward with something connected to either a higher vision, a cause, or something original. This is not the best time to actually start anything brand-new, however. Plan your day ahead of time or stick to routine things. As best as you can, go with the flow ;-)

Also on Wednesday, exact at 6:23am EST, Mars makes a challenging aspect to the Moon Nodes. We started to feel this aspect from last week Sunday on; it will be strong until this Sunday. This aspect is an invitation to find innovative ways to connect to our passions -- and find a way to make money with them as well. We need to think outside the box and find creative solutions to whatever we are facing right now.

The Moon Nodes are connected to our Soul's journey. Ask: am I on my Soul's path? Do I follow my passions? How much value do I place on myself and what I have? Bonus question: How can I share my talents with depth of feeling?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-26 degrees of  Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio or Leo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect.

On Wednesday at 10pm EST, the Moon moves into protective, sensitive Cancer, where it will journey until Saturday morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us -- so be kind to yourself and others. Emotional safety is important to us at this time; we like connecting to the familiar -- home or family is our sanctuary.

On Thursday the Moon remains in protective, sensitive Cancer all day (see Wednesday for details).

Thursday, exact at 11:46pm EST, the Sun makes an opportune aspect to Uranus. We started to feel this aspect from Monday on; it will be strong until Sunday. This aspect gives us an opportunity to become aware of an original or unique approach to life. Flexibility is the key to success at this time, and pleasant changes may be in store.

How can you connect to your uniqueness, then express it proudly and authentically? As best as you can, watch out for messages from the Universe! Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us; we have to "realize" it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 2-8 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Sagittarius or Gemini? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity.

On Friday, the Moon remains in protective, sensitive Cancer all day (see Wednesday for details).

On Friday, a challenging Mercury/Saturn aspect will be exact at 1:42pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will be strong until Sunday. This aspect asks us to stretch a little, to grow and mature. We might experience some misunderstandings or feelings of restriction.

On the one hand, Mercury in Aquarius wants to communicate its vision for a new and better future; on the other, Saturn in Scorpio reminds us that before we can think about what the future might hold, we need to first dig deeper into our own inner experience. As best as you can, make the necessary adjustments, so you can speak about your visions -- while remaining committed to your deep, passionate exploration of your own personal truth.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-14 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio or Leo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect.

Also on Friday, at 3:35pm EST,we enter a 18-hour Moon void of course (VoC); this lasts until 9:20am EST (Saturday morning). Use this intuitive time to find an inner and outer balance between your own needs and that of others. This is not the best time to start anything brand-new. As always with VoC, plan ahead of time or stick to routine things ;-)

Saturday morning starts with a Moon VoC, so take it easy, as best as you can. At 9:20am EST, the Moon moves into playful Leo, where it will journey until next week Monday. We have a chance to appreciate ourselves and our lives -- and to connect to the heart. Hand out as many compliments as possible, they will be deeply appreciated :-) You might also enjoy spending some time with little ones. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you squeak just thinking about it?

This new Moon placement also starts the build up towards this month's Full Moon… more on that later ;-)

Also on Saturday, exact at 4:51pm EST, Venus makes a harmonious aspect to the Moon's South Node in Taurus. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will be strong until next week Tuesday.

If we can open our hearts to the truth of who we are, and ourselves to receiving money and things of value, we will not only be "a-ok"... we will receive without effort. What if you simply relaxed and let things come to you? Would you be willing to try that, just for now?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-26 degrees of Capricorn, Taurus or Virgo? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect.

Now, back to this month's Full Moon... As mentioned above, the entrance of the Moon into Leo started the energetic build up towards the Full Moon; this will be exact on Saturday evening (at 11:38pm EST), in 7 degrees of Leo.During this time, we are looking for balance, and are more aware than everthat something needs to be brought into alignment. The balance here is between the head (Aquarius) and the heart (Leo). It's important to realize: every one of us is a unique spark of the divine (Leo) and an inseparable part of the web of life (Aquarius).

We all have a special gift and a role to play. Each one of us makes a difference, and as we bring our gift to others and join forces, we create something far bigger than each of us on our own -- it's all about Interconnectedness.

The Sun in Aquarius is also aligned with Mercury, opposing the Moon in Leo; all three are making a challenging aspect to Saturn in Scorpio. With this T-square, we may experience some tension between two commitments: those within intimate relationships, and the commitments we made toward ourselves. It might be hard to take responsibility for all of our internal stuff; we need to be flexible and creative. See what is most important to you and create healthy boundaries. If you value yourself, you shall be valued in return ;-)

Uranus -- the ruler of Aquarius -- symbolizes the desire for freedom, equality and progress. Uranus in Aries makes a harmonious aspect to the Moon in Leo and an opportune aspect to the Sun and Mercury in Aquarius. This combination makes it easier for us to connect to others from our heart, and thereby create new ways of communicating on an equal footing. Bringing our unique approach to other people could be the beginning of a wonderful journey for us and others. Networking and building community are a big part of this month's Full Moon energy. I will be posting a video on this month's Full Moon on or before Thursday -- to watch, click here

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 4-13 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you are more affected by this month's Full Moon.

On Sunday, the Moon remains in playful, attention-loving Leo all day (see Saturday for details).

With Saturn and Jupiter making an energetic alignment at 11:31am EST, we need to bring our inner child and our inner adult together -- and bring a sense of realism to our desire for expansion and growth.

Also on Sunday: Jupiter also starts its station today -- the planet is slowing down -- and will be stationing  all of next week. As we get closer to Jan 30th (next week Wednesday) -- when it will come to a halt and go direct again -- this planet's energy will get stronger; this will hold true until Feb 2nd (next week Saturday)

We start to be more fully aware of Jupiter's energy; this awareness helps us to get more connected to those energies as they exist within us. We get to see where we need to embrace them more fully, so that we can use them in a healthy way, without getting lost in the lower vibrations of their expression.

Jupiter represents our desire to seek insight through knowledge. Some of this planet's keywords: morality; gratitude; hope; honor; the law. Jupiter is the planet of possibility, optimism, wisdom, understanding and growth (including mental and spiritual growth). Jupiter is also associated with our sense of humor, generosity, tolerance, goodwill, and mercy. The lower expressions of Jupiter include irresponsibility -- too much of a good thing, leading to blind optimism, excess, and overindulgence.

We have been connecting internally to our wisdom and ability to grow for the past four months. What did you discover about your ability to learn and grow since October? Do you have a better understanding of your own inner wisdom and how to access it? How could those discoveries change how you live in the world?

Those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in 3-9 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces will be more affected by this station. This is also true for those of us with their Ascendent or Sun-sign in Sagittarius (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Jupiter's movements and aspects).

Finally, a heads up for next week Monday: at 11:59am EST a 6.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) begins; it lasts until 6:27pm EST. As best as you can, plan your day ahead of time or stick to routine things ;-)

Have a fantastic week! Honor your gifts and share them with the world!
Many blessings,
Sonja
