Last week was quite a week for me. Not really a surprise with all those T-squares in the sky. Lots of growing, adjusting and standing in my power was required. I made sure that I took care of myself really well physically and emotionally, and I am glad I did. It helped a lot. Looking back, I must say, I am really proud of myself -- and I'll have an exciting announcement to make very soon. How did your week go?
This week there are four planets changing signs: Venus from Leo to Virgo, both Mercury and Saturn change from Libra to Scorpio, and Mars from Scorpio to Sagittarius. Jupiter is stationing all week, turning retrograde on Thursday (until the end of January 2013) and we will start to feel the last Quarter Moon energy over the weekend (exact next week Monday)
On Monday, the Moon is still in fast-paced Aries for most of the day. The energy of the Aries Moon is about starting something new -- we also have the ability to be quite brave during this influence. Our gut impulses are strong, and we feel energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic -- we may also be impatient and impulsive now. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
Jupiter began slowing down on Sept. 27th (last week Thursday); it will be stationing all of this week. As we get closer to October 4th (this week Thursday) -- when it will come to a halt and go retrograde -- this planet's energy will get stronger; this will hold true until Oct. 11th. We start to be more fully aware of its energy; this awareness helps us to get more connected to those energies within us. We get to see where we need to embrace them more fully, so that we can use them in a healthy way, without getting lost in the lower vibrations of their expression.
Until Oct. 11th, we have to face what this planet is trying to communicate to us: Jupiter represents our desire to seek insight through knowledge. Some of this planet's keywords include: morality; gratitude; hope; honor; the law. Jupiter is the planet of possibility, optimism and growth (including mental and spiritual growth). Jupiter is also associated with a sense of humor, goodwill, and mercy. The lower expressions of Jupiter include irresponsibility (the result of blind optimism, excess, and overindulgence).
Those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in 13 - 20 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces will be more affected by this station; as will those of us who have their Ascendent or Sun-sign in Sagittarius (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Jupiter's movements and aspects).
Monday evening, we enter a brief Moon void of course (VoC) from 6:32pm - 7:26pm EDT. This is a great time to find a balance between looking at what needs our attention in regards to others, and what we need to do for ourselves.
At 7:26pm EDT, the Moon moves into peaceful, steady Taurus where it will journey until Thursday morning. With the Moon in Taurus, we are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, get comfortable -- life… slows… down. We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best as you can, stop and smell the roses during this time. Enjoy life and what it has to offer and let others be of support to you ;-)
On Tuesday the Moon remains in peaceful, steady Taurus all day (see Monday for details).
Mars aligns with the Moon's North Node, exact at 11:06am EDT on Tuesday. We started feeling this aspect build from last Friday of last week; it will be strong until this Sunday. There is something that our Soul wants us to explore more fully in the next 18 months. This is to go after our passions, make deeper emotional connections to others and ourselves, connect to something that has a deeper meaning for us. We want to connect more to the ability to bring light to the dark places in us, thus embracing all of who we are: "the good, the bad and the ugly". This is about going after what we really want, making choices that come from a deeply passionate place… And this alignment gives us the opportunity to connect more closely to all of that. You may want to watch my video on the Moon's Nodes for more or my Full Moon video on the subject as well
Those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in 24-29 degrees of Scorpio will be most affected by this alignment.
Also on Tuesday, Venus in Leo makes an opportune aspect to Saturn in Libra, both in 29 degrees (exact at 8:05pm EDT). We started feeling this aspect build from last week Saturday on; it will be strong until this Saturday. This connection is quite powerful as it is happening in the last degree of Leo and Libra, which brings out the Leo and Libra energy more fully. It is an opportunity to connect responsibly to others, make valuable commitments and find a way to work through something together in a creative and balanced manner. We have the opportunity to see clearly and from the heart, bringing a mature approach to what we value most. With any opportunity, we have to take it, it will not happen by itself.
Those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in 26-29 degrees of Leo and Libra, or 0-3 degrees of Virgo and Scorpio will feel most connected to this opportunity.
On Wednesday the Moon remains in peaceful, steady Taurus all day (see Monday for details). Also on Wednesday at 2:59am EDT, Venus changes signs from playful, fun-loving Leo to detail-oriented, practical Virgo. It will journey through that sign until October 28th. For the next three and a half weeks, our relationships are going to be taken put under the magnifying glass. We are more likely to want to make our relationships work in real terms. We need to feel of service to others; we love to help, especially in a practical, down to earth kind of a way. This might also be a great time to acknowledge the people in your life who take care of those little, daily details and make your life easier. :-)
On a social level, we might be more shy during this time -- less confident -- and most likely too busy to uphold our social commitments. On the financial side of things, we may want to invest in our health -- especially around healthy daily routines -- and anything that makes life run more smoothly on a practical level.
Exact at 6:26am EDT on Wednesday, Venus opposes Neptune. We started feeling this aspect build from Tuesday on; it will be strong until this Saturday. This opposition asks of us to create a balance (when it comes to our relationships and financial issues) between seeing what's real and what's not. With this opposition, it might be hard to see the difference between a soul connection, codependency or emotional addiction. We may have a hard time creating healthy boundaries with others. By allowing for periods of privacy and contemplation, we can maintain our connection to our own inner self, which will allow us to keep our emotional boundaries reasonably intact.
We tend to have a more romantic, idealistic vision of love and our finances at this time. We may get disappointed: nothing and nobody can fully live up to our idealistic vision of things right now. We may have a tendency to be evasive and dishonest with ourselves and others, when it comes to love and/or our material possessions. This is a great time to express our love and imagination through art, music, or any spiritual endeavors.
This will have a greater impact on those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in: 28, 29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio -- or 0-3 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius.
Thursday morning starts with a 4-hour Moon void of course (VoC) from 3:44am - 7:46am EDT. Take it easy in the morning; go with the flow. This is a great time to find a balance between what gives us a sense of safety/security and stability in our lives and where we need to go deeper and make some changes. If we can find that balance, we can be more authentically connected to our inner passions.
At 7:46am EDT, the Moon moves into lively Gemini, where it will journey until Saturday evening. This will speed things up a little; the Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. This could show up via email and phone conversations, or directly with people in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible. As long as we don't get bored, we are good.
Also on Thursday, at 9:19am EDT,Jupiter comes to a halt at 16 degrees of Gemini and starts its four month retrograde phase (ends January 30th, 2013). The retrograde phases are inner processes, they help us to get connected to a particular energy internally, so we can see how best to express it externally. During the Jupiter retrograde phase, we are getting the chance to go within and tap into our inner wisdom, optimism and sense of possibility. We are getting a chance to learn from our inner understanding of how the world works. We get to choose what we truly believe in; which beliefs serve us and which ones don't. We have very strong instincts during this time. Ask yourself: What are my instincts telling me?
This will have a greater impact for those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in any of the following: 5-17 degrees of Gemini -- or Ascendent or Sun-sign in Sagittarius (as mentioned above, Jupiter rules Sagittarius, so Sagittarius will always be affected more strongly by Jupiter's movements and aspects).
It's a busy day on Friday. The Moon remains in versatile, lively Gemini all day (see Thursday for details). Mercury aligns with Saturn in 29 degrees of Libra on Friday (exact at 5:44am EDT). We started feeling this aspect build from Tuesday on; it will be strong until next week Monday. This connection is quite powerful, as it is happening in the last degree of Libra, which brings out the Libra energy more fully. It strengthens our ability to make realistic decisions in regards to our relationships. We are more able to come from a place of integrity and maturity when planning anything long-term.
We prefer to have serious conversations with others that move us forward, closer to a common goal. It's an excellent period for reviewing, reassessing, perfecting, and improving our relationships, partnerships and communication. Even though we might have a more negative or critical outlook initially about our relationship issues, this alignment serves the purpose of reaching a balanced, mature, and realistic state.
This will have more impact on those of us with any of the following: personal planets (or Ascendent) in either 26-29 degrees of Libra, Aries, Capricorn or Cancer; or 0-3 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius.
Also on Friday at 6:35am EDT, Mercury moves from idealistic, relationship-oriented Libra into passionate, intense Scorpio, where it will journey until October 29th. During those three and a half weeks, we have the ability to focus on what's most important to us on a deep emotional level. We can get to the very heart of any matter at this time, especially when it comes to conversations we have. We are certainly more passionate about giving real advice or supporting others.
We are not satisfied with any superficial connections right now, it's all or nothing. For that reason, our mental processes could get a little obsessive. We may also be more suspicious, expecting bad intentions from others. It's a time that favors reading or writing about intrigue, mystery, and hidden motives. Mercury in Scorpio loves anything that challenges the brain and therefore we are often interested in what makes people tick during this time.
Another planet that is also changing signs from Libra to Scorpio today (Friday): Saturn. Saturn's entry into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio is a powerful placement for the next two and half years, as it creates a mutual reception with Pluto in Capricorn (until September 2015) -- Pluto and Saturn are supporting each other's agendas, as long as they are in each other's sign.
The last time Saturn changed signs from Libra to Scorpio was in November 1982 (and then again in August 1983 because of Saturn's retrograde phase). If you remember that period, you may recall what happened in the area of relationships for you (or your parents) at that time. This time around, we are getting a chance to go to a new level, in regards to our relationships and long-term goals. We are starting a new chapter.
Saturn in Scorpio wants us to get down to business when it comes to our deep emotional bonds, either with ourselves or others. It's time to make some decisions. No more trying to see both sides of a situation, it's time to make some real choices.

On Friday afternoon/evening we are entering a 28-hour Moon void of course (VoC) from 5:08pm - 8:45pm EDT on Saturday evening. This long VoC-period gives us a chance to connect to our inner wisdom and take time to see all the possibilities that life has offered us in the past. What could that mean for our future? As best as you can, take it easy, go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new for next 28 hours.
And last but not least on Friday, Mercury makes a harmonious aspect to Neptune, exact at 6:06pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Thursday on; it will be strong until next week Monday. This aspect supports imaginative thinking and the ability to connect our day-to-day mind with our intuition. We can easily sense the thoughts and feelings of others, and we are adaptable in our communications, as we pay attention to how our words are received. We have the ability to express ourself with sensitivity at this time. We have an appreciation for photography, the arts, poetry, fiction and spirituality now. We are also more open to metaphysical or spiritual concepts.
Most blessed by this aspect: those of us who have any of our personal planets or Ascendent in 28, 29 degrees of Libra, Aquarius or Gemini (or 0-3 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer).
On Saturday the Moon is still VoC and in versatile, lively Gemini most of the day (see Thursday and Friday for details).
Saturday at 8:45pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancer where it will journey until next week Tuesday. We are more sensitive to what people say to us (or about us), so be kind to yourself and others. We like connecting to the familiar; home or family is our sanctuary.
On Saturday at 11:21pm EDT, Mars changes signs from passionate Scorpio to adventurous Sagittarius, where it will journey until November 16th. With this placement, we are going to feel a little restless, maybe even impatient at times -- we want to get things done. This a great time to get into sports or some athletic activity. We have so many ideas and interests that we can't just stick to one thing right now, so we may have several projects running at the same time.
It's a time when we prefer to improvise and just wing it. That makes it more fun and brings a sense of adventure to our day. We also like to have some good debates with others, persuading them to share our beliefs. It's not the best time to get too serious about life, as we prefer to feel free-flowing and excited about new things -- especially when we can learn something new ;-)
On Sunday the Moon will remain in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Saturday for details).
A challenging Mars/Neptune aspect will become exact at 10:10pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Thursday on; it will be strong until next week Thursday. This aspect is asking us to stretch ourselves in regards to the things we want to go after -- and how we feel about a higher, spiritual calling. We may be chasing a dream at this time -- or a fantasy. Ordinary life may seem drab and uninteresting to us right now; we want something that stirs our imagination, some vision or ideal or dream to motivate us.
We have a strong urge to act out our fantasies or to live out our dream -- and we have the energy now to DO things that others only talk or dream about. Artistic creation, drama -- and other areas in which we can express ourselves imaginatively -- are excellent to peruse or begin with this aspect. We tend to either overestimate or underestimate our own power and abilities during this time. As best as you can follow your intuition and inspire yourself and others.
Most impacted by this aspect: those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in 28, 29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio; or 0-5 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius.
Exact at 11:05pm EDT, Venus opposes Chiron. We started feeling this aspect build from Thursday on; it will be strong until next week Wednesday. This opposition asks us to create a balance between our emotional healing process and our relationships. We may feel insecure around others at this time; we need to first heal our own deep fears of not being "good enough", learning to love ourselves -- and then seeing how we can meet our partners halfway. As best as you can, bring the gift of compassion, understanding and forgiveness to your own insecurities or feelings of unworthiness -- then gift that to others.
Those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in 3-10 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius will feel most affected by this opposition.
A head's up for next Monday: the Moon will be void of course (VoC) all day. If possible, plan your day ahead of time or simply stick to routine things. Avoid starting anything brand-new or making plans for the future. Go with the flow and trust your intuition.
Next Monday at 3:33am EDT, the last Quarter Moon becomes exact. We will start to feel the energy of this aspect building from Saturday evening on. The Moon in protective Cancer makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in harmony-oriented Libra. This energizes us to look at what needs to be completed -- and at what needs to change. With this Moon phase, we are getting closer to the next New Moon (Oct. 15th). Rather than starting major new projects, take a look at what was started around Sept. 15th -- the time of the last New Moon. We now have about a week to wrap those projects up. What -- if anything -- needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since Sept. 15th? What did it mean for you?
Those of us who have their Ascendent (or personal planets) in 13-20 degrees of Capricorn, Libra, Aries and Cancer will be most affected by this month's last Quarter Moon.
Have a fantastic week!
