Stand Tall With Your Heart Wide Open - Astrology Forecast for Mon., July 16th - Sun., July 22nd 2012

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

The past week had some ups and downs for me personally; the beginning of the week was crazy busy. Towards the end of the week I had some relaxing moments and unexpected changes in schedule ;-) I hope you didn't have too many frustrations last week with Mercury and Uranus stationing...

The main items this week are: the New Moon in Cancer on Wednesday night/Thursday early morning and a T-Square between Mars, Pluto and Uranus; exact on Tuesday and Wednesday. Feel free to watch my video on those aspects for more details.

Lets start at the beginning… we are starting this week (Monday) yet again with a Moon void of course (VoC) from 6:56am until 8:31pm EDT. Take it easy during this time and as I already mentioned in last week's forecast, avoid any new beginnings, scheduling of important meetings or signing contracts today. This time is best used to connect to others socially -- maybe reconnecting with people you haven't seen or spoken to in a while -- and for sticking with daily routines and existing commitments.

Monday at 8:31pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective Cancer, where it will journey until Thursday early morning. For the next two and a half days, we are more sensitive to whatever people are saying to (or about) us, so be kind to yourself and others. We enjoy connecting to people who are familiar; our home or family becomes our sanctuary..

As we are also entering the Balsamic Moon phase – this lasts until the New Moon becomes exact, late night Wednesday -- we are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. This is also a great time for letting go of the things that no longer serve us and for finishing up what needs to be completed. This might not be as easy as it sounds, especially as we are feeling the approaching T-square involving Mars, Pluto and Uranus, which has been steadily gaining in intensity since last week (more about that a little later).

First, we have a harmonious Mars/Jupiter aspect, becoming exact on Tuesday at 8:38am EDT. We have been feeling this aspect building since last week. This aspect brings optimism, enthusiasm and expansion to our relationships and our ability to communicate and share ourselves. Decisive action comes naturally with this aspect: we possess willpower and energy that we can direct toward achieving our goals. Positive attitudes create winning situations; friendly, healthy competition is key. This aspect is of tremendous help in connection with the approaching T-Square, mentioned earlier.

On Tuesday afternoon, exact at 4:26pm EDT, Mars makes a challenging  aspect to Plutofollowed by an opposition to Uranusexact on Wednesday evening at 10:55pm EDT. This makes a perfect T-square. As mentioned earlier, we have been feeling this T-square building since last week; we will feel it until the end of this week. Those of us with an Ascendent (or personal planets) in 4-12 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer will be most affected by this configuration.

This T-square creates tension, a need for resolution and change. We need to get moving, to grow up, step up and make some serious changes. Lots of energy is being released, so we can get right to it. We may feel stressed or even scared/overwhelmed. As best as you can, take it one day at a time, even one moment at a time and make sure that you are taking good care of yourself. If possible take 5 minute breaks to stretch and breathe deeply into the parts of your body that hold any tension.

Self-care is quite important in times of stress and change -- making sure that we eat healthily and regularly, are drinking plenty of water, exercising and getting plentiful rest. We might need to withdraw from the world for a little bit this week; connecting instead to what feels familiar in order to stay grounded and regenerate ourselves. What or who brings you comfort and a feeling of safety/familiarity? How can you nurture yourself in times of stress?

As Uranus is also stationing at the same time as this T-square becomes exact, we are going to feel a strong need to break free from our one-on-one relationships and focus on ourselves. This could be a time of much restlessness, rebellion, and impatience. Of course, as mentioned last week, technology may be a source of irritation, electrical appliances may break down or not work up to par as well during this time.

Energy may fluctuate now. We may have a tendency to take risks and to act on sudden impulses without considering consequences. We are ready to fight for our freedom and we don't like to be told what to do. We tend to resist others, challenging them if we believed they are trying to hold us back; arguments and confrontations are likely. Speaking your truth is important; blaming others for your situation is not useful.

As best as you can, “own” what you are projecting on others and take responsibility for your process. The trick is to remain as flexible as possible. Where is the balance point between your individual expression and your relationships? If you find yourself in an argument, ask yourself: How important is it? Or: how could I use this to move forward in my life?

We also need to stretch ourselves in regards to what we want vs. what our Soul wants for us (personal will vs. universal will). Sometimes those two seem out of alignment with each other. As best as you can, surrender to your Soul's purpose; empower yourself by speaking your truth and connecting to your inner passions.

Pay attention to any feelings that come to the surface at this time, this will help you to see what has been suppressed. By bringing awareness and light to those feelings and issues, you may then be able to come into closer alignment with your Soul's purpose.

This is also a time when sexual tension runs high. If you are in a committed relationship, use this energy to have some hot, passionate sex, rather than disempowering your partner in an argument. If you are single or dating, check to see if you really want to connect with someone else in such an intense way. This might not be the best time to start a new relationship.

As best as you can, keep your energy vibrating on a high level, let go of fear-based thoughts and actions, and stand tall with your heart wide open :-)

On Wednesday late night/Thursday very early morning at 12:24am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 27 degrees of Cancer. This is the beginning of a new Moon cycle.  In Cancer, we look for quality and safety, in terms of what we want to create, and in terms of what we want to surround ourselves with. We experience life on a deeper, more instinctive level. We have less interest in what is universal, and more interest in what affects us personally (and what affects the people we care for and love).

Our being is colored by our emotions, so it might be more challenging to be objective. Family, home and our inner world become our focus for this New Moon cycle. This New Moon has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us. Please watch my video on the subject for more details.

This New Moon is also making a challenging aspect to SaturnThose of us with an Ascendent (or personal planets) in 24-29 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer will be impacted by this aspect more than others. We may need to stretch a little, in order to connect to our feelings, our inner world and our commitments. Our responsibilities towards others might be calling us to get out of our comfort zone. Our ability to be responsible for ourselves will increase our confidence. This is a time for reworking our plans - making refinements that will ultimately help us. This is also the time to set some intentions for this Moon cycle. Feel free to watch my video on those aspects for more details.

As we will have a 6-hour Moon void of course (VoC) , from 12:24am until 6:13am EDT on Thursday morning, I recommend setting your New Moon intentions after the void of course is over.

At 6:13am EDT the Moon moves into playful Leo, where it journeys until Saturday afternoon . This gives us a chance to appreciate ourselves and our lives -- and to connect to the heart. Hand out as many compliments as possible during this time, they will be deeply appreciated :-) You might also enjoy spending some time with little ones. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well.

Saturday early morning sees the beginning of a 12-hour Moon void of course (VoC)  -- from 1:17am until 1:24pm EDT. Use this time to express yourself creatively -- and look to see what you are grateful for in your life. The Moon starts to build again, bringing a little light and consciousness to our intentions and plans. We may want to start sharing our New Moon intentions with others.

Saturday at 1:24pm EDT the Moon moves into detail-oriented Virgo, where it will journey until next week (Monday evening). This turns our focus toward practical activities; perhaps re-organizing and rethinking our plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the parts that make up the whole. This is a great time to look at our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) to see if they are in alignment with our long-term goals.

On Sunday at 6:01am EDT the Sun changes signs from sensitive Cancer to playful, expressive Leo, where it will journey until August 22nd. With the Sun in Leo we are more inclined to connect to our heart and to follow our joy. This is a great time for gratitude, compliments, connecting to being playful. For the most part, children have a wonderful Leo quality, they are creative, playful, self-expressed and they follow their heart. Who would you be if you connected to your inner child more fully?

Last but not least we are ending the day on Sunday with a 10-hour Moon void of course (VoC)  -- from 8:45pm until 6:38pm EDT on Monday evening. If you can, plan your day ahead of time, if not, stick to routine things.

Have a fantastic week.
Love and blessings,
Sonja
