What Is Your Biggest Inner Asset? - Astrology Forecast for Mon., June 25th - Sun., July 1st 2012

For me, the past week was very good indeed; I was able to beautifully balance work with my relationship. I spent time seeing friends and taking good care of myself. I can only say: it was a beautiful thing to behold…

The main items this week are the Saturn and Venus stations -- both moving direct again; Mercury entering its shadow phase, as we move towards the second Mercury Retrograde phase of the year and the beginning of the first Quarter Moon phase. There are also some major outer planet aspects to the Sun, which can be felt all week.

Lets start at the beginning… we are starting this week (Monday) with the Moon in Virgo. As I also mentioned in last week's forecast, this turns our focus toward practical activities; perhaps re-organizing and rethinking our plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the parts that make up the whole. This is a great time to look at our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) to see if they are in alignment with our long-term goals.

Venus has started its station, slowing down the planet's speed, which brings all relationship, self-worth and financial issues to the forefront. We are ready to bring all these things out into the open. This stationing period lasts until Saturday of this week

A Neptune/Jupiter aspect, exact at 3:49am EDT on Monday very early in the morning, brings the potential for spiritual inspiration. We may be misled more easily under this influence--by others, or by our own unrealistic or inflated expectations. Extravagance or exaggeration are possible during this time. Routine seems to be particularly unsatisfying now. This is a time when we easily take a detour from a practical path. It can also be a time when we are disillusioned by something (or someone).

As best as you can stretch your beliefs and your thinking patterns to grow into a bigger, more compassionate person, someone in alignment with a higher source, with their intuition. This might be a great time for connecting to music or spiritual endeavors. As this is an aspect involving two slower moving planets, we have been feeling this aspect since June 11th and will be feeling it until July 9th.

As mentioned in last week's forecast, Saturn comes to a halt on Monday at 4am EDT, turning direct after being retrograde for almost 5 months. As best as you can, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any sources of frustration. If you bring commitment and maturity to your interactions today, you will feel more empowered.

Capricorns, Aquarians (by Sun-sign or Ascendent) and people with personal planets in 21-25 degrees of Libra will feel a sense of relief as Saturn starts speeding up again -- moving forward with our long-term goals will be easier now as we have more clarity. We are now able to integrate what we have learned over the past 5 months and we can more easily align our inner commitments and goals with the outer.

Last but not least, on Monday evening at 10:24pm EDT, Mercury changes signsfrom sensitive Cancer to fun-loving Leo. It will journey there until August 31st. During this cycle, we are more expressive, even theatrical. We are also more convincing and persuasive, as we exude confidence when we speak or write. Our mind is also more connected to our heart and we feel generous and expressive. This is a great time for gratitude, compliments, connecting to your inner joy and being playful.

On Tuesday we start the day with a Moon void of course (VoC) from 6:53am until 1:15pm EDT. As best as you can, take it easy in the morning. Use this time to process what has occurred in the past two days. Use this time to connect to your body, nurture it and if you can, exercise.

Tuesday at 1:15pm EDT the Moon moves into Libra where it will remain until Thursday afternoon. The energy of the Libra Moon is about our awareness of the need for relationships -- and everything that comes with maintaining them: compromising, negotiating, graciousness, balancing. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave.

The flip side of this is a tendency to avoid direct confrontations. We see both sides to any given situation, so decisions do not come easily.  Our fear of losing the approval of others can also be a source of hesitation. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this -- and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm.

On Tuesday evening at 11:30pm EDT, we experience the First Quarter Moon. The Moon makes a challenging aspect to the Sun; things that got started after the New Moon (June 19th) may need adjustment -- and this aspect brings awareness to bear. We are compelled to take action now; as best as you can, open your heart and your mind.

Check in with yourself to see if you are coming from love or fear. If you are coming from fear, your body feels tight and there is a sense that you need to rush something or it has an obsessive component. When you come from love, your body is relaxed and you feel grounded in what you do, no rushing is required. If you notice that you are coming from fear, let it be ok and simply breath into your heart-center. Expand the heart, relax your body and quieten the mind.

On Wednesday, Mercury enters its shadow phase, as we move towards the second Mercury Retrograde phase of the year (July 15th until August 7th). The shadow phase is the period immediately before and after the retrograde phase. At these times, the planet travels through the same degrees of a sign that it will later revisit during the Retrograde phase. Mercury is usually in its shadow for two weeks before the Retrograde phase begins, and for three weeks after.

If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items -- especially items connected to transportation (cars, flight-tickets, etc.) or communication devices (phone, computer, i-pad, etc.) -- be aware of the shadow periods as well. If possible, get these things done before Mercury enters it's shadow or wait until after the shadow phase is over ;-) For more details, click here to read my blog on the subject.

Venus comes to a halt at11:07pm EDT on Wednesday, turning direct after being retrograde since May 15th. Tauruses and Librans (by Sun-sign or Ascendent) will feel a sense of relief as Venus starts speeding up again -- we will integrate the realizations of the past six weeks, and feel greater alignment between our inner values, and our goals around relationships and finances.

On Thursday we start the day with a 12 hour Moon void of course (VoC) , from 4:22am until 4:32pm EDT. As best as you can, take it easy that day. Use this time to process what has occurred in the past two days. Use this time to commit to yourself and let intuition guide you as to how to proceed. As best as you can, connect to your inner adult ;-)

Thursday at 4:32pm EDT the Moon moves into passionate Scorpio where it will remain until Saturday evening. Emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time.

As best as you can, avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspicion; rather open up to your inner wealth of feelings -- decide to go deeper, allow for all feelings to surface, if they need to. Remember: all feelings are energy; energy that wants to move through us, and out of us...

There are several aspects that we have been feeling all week (and will perhaps feel even until Monday of next week); on Friday these will become exact.

First, we have a Sun/Pluto opposition, exact at 11:02am EDT. The Sun in dynamic aspect to Pluto suggests willfulness -- and dealing with issues of power and competition. We may feel on edge, volatile, perhaps even threatened. We may also be able to get in touch with our internal motivations.

A tendency to want to control our lives through some form of manipulation is strong during this influence. Meeting with obstacles in our paths, however, can force us into the position of using all of our resources to surmount them -- and in the process, we can discover resources we never knew we had. As best as we can, we need to strike a balance between our ambitions and commitments, versus our need for security and safety.

Next, we have a Mercury/Jupiter aspect, exact at 11:37am EDT. This aspect brings an opportunity for positive thinking, new insights, and cooperation. This influence favors short trips, writing, teaching, studying, submitting applications and forms, test taking, and making diagnoses and observations. This is a time when we more readily exercise good judgment, take a more philosophical approach to thinking, and are more open to learning. This aspect is an opportunity to bring a lighter perspective to the Sun/Pluto opposition we are experiencing simultaneously.

Last but definitely not least, we have a challenging Sun/Uranus aspect, exact at 4:10pm EDT. We can't expect much of anything this week... except the unexpected! Disrupted routines and plans are quite possible, which helps to stimulate the adoption of new approaches. During this transit, we feel the need for action, but if we don't know where we're headed, we might take the wrong turn.

As best as you can, go with the flow, stay open to experiencing something new and wonderfully unexpected. As best as you can, avoid making hasty major decisions for the time being. Especially, if they are hasty ;-) Enjoy the ride…

On Saturday in the early morning hours another aspect becomes exact: Mercury is making a harmonious aspect to the Moon's North Node. We have already started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on and we will continue feeling it until the middle of next week. This aspect reminds us to keep our thoughts optimistic and to focus on adventure and fun in all of our interactions. Our mind is able to take a quantum leap now. What would be the worst that could happen if you jumped? What would be the best?

Saturday afternoon we experience a 3 hour Moon void of course (VoC) -- from 3:36pm until 6:04pm EDT. Use this time to connect to your inner wisdom. What do you desire most?

Saturday at 6:04pm EDT the Moon moves into optimistic Sagittarius where it will remain until Monday evening (next week). The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from an intuitive place, and to think in a broader manner. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now".

We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Instead, we focus on the big picture. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. Spontaneity is the key. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don't want to plan ahead, and prefer to "wing it".

On Saturday evening another aspect becomes exact: a harmonious Sun/Chiron aspect, exact at 8:23pm EDT. We have already started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on and we will continue feeling it until next week Tuesday. This aspect brings us the opportunity to connect to a deeper healing process that supports our confidence and brings us in better alignment with our feeling bodies.

As best as you can, seek to be gentle and kind with yourself and others. We all have flaws, wounds, insecurities. The more we can open up to that being ok for ourselves, the less judgmental we will be with others. This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become one of our best assets and strengths. What is your biggest inner asset?

On Sunday, it's important to bring a sense of balance between your day-to-day interactions and the search for truth and adventure.

Have a fantastic week.
Many blessings,
Sonja
