Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- five hours behind Greenwich Mean Time. This past week was quite lively, hectic even; it wasn't always easy to find the balance between taking care of my daily interactions, versus staying connected to my own inner peace. There are two main things I want to discuss this week: firstly, Neptune is starting to slow down and get ready for its retrograde phase (June 4th - Nov. 11th); secondly, we are building up to the Full Moon phase (also a Lunar Eclipse), exact on June 4th… But lets start at the beginning…we are starting this week with the Moon in detail-oriented, perfectionistic Virgo. The first quarter Moon at 4:16pm EDT, on Monday, is when we start to experience some challenges with whatever was started after the New Moon -- we are being asked to make some adjustments to the things that got started in the past week. This is an energizing time, as we need to stretch ourselves and expand our consciousness. Right after the first quarter Moon is exact, we have a challenging aspect between Mercury and Chiron, exact at 4:59pm EDT; we will be feeling this aspect most strongly Monday through Wednesday. This combination might bring up some insecurities in our interactions with others, whether those be verbal, in person or via email; that said, this could be an opportunity for healing. We are energized to move beyond harsh criticism of ourselves or others, and to bring love and compassion to our ability to communicate or to our thinking structures. As best as you can, stretch yourself and be open to bring love and understanding to a situation. Tuesday: Moon is still in detail-oriented, perfectionistic Virgo all day, connecting with Mars in the very early morning hours. This brings energy to our day, a need for independence and for going after our goals. As best as you can, keep the focus on yourself and watch out for impatient outbursts or for the need to be right at all cost. On Wednesday we start the day with a Moon void of course (VoC) -- from 1:50am until 6:46am EDT -- so take it easy in the early morning hours. The Moon will move into Libra at 6:46am EDT where it will remain until Friday morning. The energy of the Libra Moon is about our awareness of the need for relationships -- and everything that comes with maintaining them: compromising, negotiating, graciousness, balancing. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The flip side of this is a tendency to avoid direct confrontations. We see both sides to any given situation, so decisions do not come easily. Our fear of losing the approval of others can also be a source of hesitation. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this -- and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm. A challenging Sun/Chiron aspect, exact on Wednesday at 1:05pm EDT, resonates back to the Mercury/Chiron aspect from earlier in the week. We will be feeling this aspect pretty much all week. Here, we might feel less confident about who we are, and have a hard time projecting a social front. Our facts and feelings might get mingled up with each other. As best as you can take this as an opportunity to make space for feeling vulnerable or emotional without seeing yourself as weak or "less than". It is perfectly ok to have feelings and feel insecure once in a while. At 8:20pm EDT, also on Wednesday, a challenging Mercury/Mars aspect brings some juicy energy to our conversations. This is a chance to have some discussions that have been overdue. As best as you can, make it a productive discussion that serves you and others -- a win-win -- otherwise you might feel really awful afterwards. Watch out on the road for some crazy drivers… rushing might not necessarily get you there faster ;-) Neptune will start its station on Thursday -- we will feel this station until June 8th -- as it slows down to get ready for its retrograde phase (June 4th - Nov. 11th). Neptune represents things like universal love, creativity, spirituality, illusion, escapism, imagination and inspiration. When an outer planet slows down it is quite impactful: we start to be aware of its energy more fully in our lives. This awareness helps us to get more connected to those energies within us, and to see where we need to embrace them more fully, so that we can use them in a healthy way, without getting lost in the lower vibrations of their expression. We will also experience a Moon void of course (VoC) -- from 9:31pm Thursday until 8:32am EDT on Friday. Use this time to get connected with people you have commitments with, or get clear within yourself as to what commitments you share with others. Friday morning at 8:32am EDT, the Moon moves into passionate Scorpio, where it will journey until Sunday morning. Emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. As best as you can, avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspicion. At 4:31pm EDT, also on Friday, Mercury aligns with Venus (now retrograde, feel free to watch my video about the Venus retrograde). This is a beautiful connection between the mind and the heart. We appreciate love and beauty during this time and we are happy to share it with others. We will feel this alignment Thursday through Saturday. After a 3-hour Moon void of course while we are sleeping on Sunday morning, the Moon moves into adventurous Sagittarius at 8:33am EDT. We are feeling more optimistic during this time and ready to explore new things. Even though the Full Moon -- which is also a Lunar Eclipse -- won't be exact until Monday early morning (next week), we are already feeling the build up of this energy from the moment the Moon enters Sagittarius on Sunday morning. During this time, we are looking for balance and are more aware than ever that something needs to be brought into alignment. Where do we need to make changes in our lives that serve a bigger picture? Use this time to expand your horizons. I will be posting a video about the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse some time this weekend. Please watch out for that. A supportive Mercury/Saturn aspect also on Sunday, exact at 10:38pm EDT, gives us a chance to speak from a grounded, truthful place. We are more likely to make realistic plans for the future and our thinking has a practical, grown-up component to it. We will be feeling this aspect Saturday through Monday. Have fantastic week. Many blessings, Sonja |
